Reiner SC cyberJack pinpad(a) on Ubuntu 16.04.03 LTS

The device identifies itself on plugin as follows:

The driver needed to get it runnin is obviously libifd-cyberjack6v5

I did install the following packages:

apt-get install libifd-cyberjack6v5 libchipcard-tools cardpeek fxcyberjack pcsc-tools pcscd opensc

fxcyberjack is graphical tool for Reiner-SCT devices

cardpeek is a graphical tool to read out card data

libchicard-tools allowed me to run the commands (with limited use though, but it shows things do work)

geldkarte      loaded
chipcard-tools atr
kvkcard        read

pcsc-tools allowed me to run (among others):

pcsc_scan

• The LUG Krefeld Page on Chipkarten Leser while being outdated still gave me valuable hints about what packages might be needed and how to test them.
• The Debian list of devices and matching drivers was of limited use, as it seems not to apply to Ubuntu 16.04 (any more?).
• The Debian PCSLite Page teached me how to run the pcscd in debgging mode (showing that not driver was found before installing libifd-cyberjack6v5)
• Finally MrEder in the Reiner-SCT Forum did point me to the right driver.
